Arctic Bath Hotel, Harads, Sweden

The idea of the Arctic Bath Hotel came from Kent Lindwall, creator of the world renowned Treehotel who commissioned architect Bertil Hagström and interior designer Johan Kauppi to develop his vision of a floating hotel on the Luleå river in Swedish Lapland.

Arensburg Limestone tiles were used in the spa and wellness area, the restaurant and some of the bedrooms. Our Arensburg limestone tiles appear to be a little darker than usual and this is due to the small windows which reduces the amount of natural light in the building.

Arensburg limestone tiles are extremely durable and low maintenance and very suitable for using in areas of high pedestrian traffic such as restaurants and bars and they are widely used in public buildings across Scandinavia and the Nordic region.
