A Timeless Natural Stone for Family Heritage
Renown Finnish interior designer Kirsi Luttinen of NBI Design in was tasked with creating an interior for this newbuild family home on the banks of the Oulujoki river.
In keeping with the low carbon footprint of the all-timber structure Kirsi specified that only natural materials should be used for the interior finishes. With this in mind she chose Saxby Stone’s Burford Grey Limestone tiles for the kitchen and downstairs living areas. Burford Grey limestone was an ideal choice for a busy family home because of its durability and low requirement for maintenance.
The tile dimensions chosen were 500 x falling lengths x 20 mm and this large format perfectly suited the large kitchen and dining area.
